Escape to lake country.
Simple enjoyment reigns supreme at our rentals. We firmly believe the best mornings are spent gazing out over the lake, the most exciting afternoons are ones full of sun and sand, and the most memorable evenings include wind-in-your-hair drives past sand dunes and lighthouses.
Known for its spectacular sunsets over Lake Michigan, Muskegon offers over 25 miles of postcard-perfect beaches. Near and not-too-far, you’ll find several spots to dig your toes into the sand while the kids spend countless hours splashing in clean, clear waters.
Drive 15 minutes to Pere Marquette Beach, a sprawling public park on the shores of Lake Michigan, for a classic sun and surf afternoon, or travel 20 minutes to Hoffmaster State Park where you’ll find towering dunes and a quieter scene.
But the best hidden gem is right on our own Twin Lake. Bring a picnic basket and your A-game to Twin Lake Park, a 15-acre waterfront haven where you’ll find volleyball courts, a playground and tennis courts. It’s just a short stroll from our rentals – and free if you enter on foot!
For an all-day excursion, drive 35 minutes to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, where you can hike, drive or board across a three-mile stretch of ever-changing dunes or take in the view from a kayak on the lake, then enjoy a post-adventure meal in the village. Or make the 25-minute drive to Grand Haven for beachside hikes, lighthouse tours, historic museums, charming eateries and a musical fountain with nightly light shows.
And that’s not even all of it – among the beach towns and scenic shores, you’ll find historic must-see’s (Silverside Submarine & Museum, a 25-minute drive), wet and wild adventure (Michigan’s Adventure Amusement & Water Park, 10 minutes away) and Hickory Knoll, a family-friendly golf course that offers 18 holes and a cart for just $20.

Taste the Excitement
From breezy luncheons to elegant eateries, there’s an option here for every mood. Just down the street you’ll find Effin Bar and Grill for pub fare, Nonie’s for gyros and ice cream, and our personal favorite, Overboard Inn, a come-as-you-are breakfast and lunch joint.
An eight-minute drive down the road brings you to Lefty & Romo’s Bar & Grill, a classic tavern where you can catch the game on big screens or bask on the sunny patio while chowing down on their famous “ugly steak.” For a solid beer list and brick-and-wood pub atmosphere, drive 15 minutes to Hobo’s Tavern, and be sure to try their signature lake perch and rib combo entrée.
For a night on the town, Grand Haven has plenty places to whet your appetite, ranging from food shack to five-star meals. Grab a corn dog on a stick from Pronto Pup, dig into seafood at riverfront Snug Harbor, or settle into a booth at Kirby House, a former historic hotel where you’ll find an island bar and mouthwatering American fare.
